The RICS states an Expert Witness “is a person engaged to give an opinion based on experience, knowledge and expertise.” It is our duty to act on behalf of the Court, to provide objective and concise and professional advice for the Judge to understand the case.

Construction disputes often arise due to issues including a lack of a written contract, or a failure to project manage the process. We appreciate being involved in a dispute is often a stressful experience to those involved and our team are highly experienced in delivering a highly professional service in a friendly manner.

We assess whether the disputed building work was carried out with reasonable care and skill over a reasonable time frame and at a reasonable cost. We also assess whether it complies with the specification, drawings and quotation on which the agreement was based.

If required we can conduct an inspection of work on behalf of the client, or the contractor, or both. Once our research has been completed we produce a report highlighting any defects, how they fall short of the required standard and measures to be undertaken to rectify the issues.
